tRump's "sweaty" CBS interview.

1) Form a plan
2) Execute plan
3) Drink heavily to celebrate victory!

Interesting plan.
It's never too late to go into education if you'd like to try your "plan"....You could even claim it as a career after a couple of years...then say you claim "retired" from it;)

Hello Dutch Uncle,

OK now you know I'm the last person to take the president's side, but if you don't play golf, you have no idea of what is involved. You actually use your whole body to drive the golfball 200 yards + down the fairway. A tee shot is called a full body swing. DT is a big guy who has played for life. I doubt he would do anything he wasn't pretty good at. I would not be surprised if he has hit some 300 yd drives.

I've played golf, even have a set of sticks. Just not a big fan nor would I call it a "sport" any more than I'd call darts as sport. Yes, there's skill involved and some mechanical movement of the body, but I still don't consider it the center piece of a good physical workout program. :)

I have gone into education. I'm a teacher and have had thousands of students.

Interesting that you think that's a good plan.

FWIW, teaching is a skill. Despite the old maxim "Those who can't do, teach", it's a skill not everyone can master or even be good at doing. Once a person masters learning to teach, they can teach anything in which they are familiar since the teaching skill easily transfers and isn't tied to one area of learning. There are shitty teachers, there are great teachers and there's those in the middle. Where were you on that scale?

Thousands in the K=12 classroom? Do you have a degree/certification in education?
I was a great teacher...Or I wouldn't have stayed in the classroom....
Being able to teach successfully is a gift...

Teaching is a skill. Some people are certainly better at it than others, but I'm not sure it's a gift. Sure, people have to have certain innate skills, but mostly it's a will to do. I was certainly a lot better at it than when I first started.

I think it's a gift....depends on what you're teaching, as well....My classes, for example, were very different than your flight or tae kwon do classes...
(I would hope every teacher improves with time...you learn something new every day....every student is different...)

Your freedom to think so. You are free to think you are God's gift to students but I think it depends on the teacher. Obviously teachers are better at teaching some subjects than others, but that's a matter of knowledge and experience...plus, of course, will to do.

You are free to assume anything you like about me, but I think that reflects poorly on your claims of being a great teacher.

It does depend on the teacher...the subject...their experience...the student...
God's gift?;) I like that;)

Of course you do! Like Trump at his interview, you tried!

tRump ventured outside of his normal safety net of "Foxsnooze" and got REAL questioned asked in a CBS interview. While his responses were his normal illiterate "psychobabble", what was most noticeable was his profuse sweating. The last time that a POTUS or POTUS candidate sweated that profusely was when Nixon sweated so badly while debating Kennedy.

While tRump's ridiculous hairdo normally makes him look anything but "presidential", this "sweatfest" made him look even worse.

He knows that he needs to step out of the Faux News pampering for the election. How else will he reach moderates who don't watch Faux News?

Darts is no where near as much exercise as golf. Golf may not be a 'good physical workout program' but it is way better than nothing, certainly far better than talking in an internet chat room.

All the golfers say that so they can claim golf is a "sport"...mostly to their wives. :tongout:

Ask almost any and every pro sports star which is his/her favorite sport...

...and most will answer "golf" or the sport in which they are a star.

Pro sports stars consider golf a sport...and most consider it their favorite sport.

Common ground: Golfing as "exercise" is better than nothing. :)

I admit to not playing much golf. It's okay, but for the time and money involved, I'd rather be hunting or fishing. When I was in Okinawa, there was a driving range next to the Officer's Club. Occasionally, we'd get drunk then go over and see who could get the most hits on the little cart picking up balls. Now that's a sport!

No worries, the cart was armored because of Marines like us.

Instructing students and educating students...very different, don't you agree?;)

The goal is the same no matter what term you like to use. I'm truly surprised you do not understand that basic point.

I'm not surprised that you don't recognize a difference;)

Of course you're not. You have a set point of view and are selectively blind to all other points of view. This is why I doubt your teaching skills.

I'm completely open...I thought we were "discussing".....You're free to "doubt"....all you like...

You would have to be pretty good to hit the pick-up cart unless it was nabbing the duffer shots. (meaning it is close to the tees)

Never did any hunting but I do like fishing. Not that I'm any good at it. I would probably do it more if I was better at it.

I have to laugh. For all the money invested in gear and bait I could have gone to a restaurant and had a fish dinner cheaper. If I just took all that money and ate out I would be totally ahead. But it is fun when you actually catch something.
