Hello McRocket,

I don't believe that. I think Russia has been messing with eastern Ukraine for a long time, trying to stir this up. Plants and propaganda. Putin is

KGB. He controls things. He causes things to happen. He orchestrates. Ukraine voted to not be part of Russia. Donbas is part of Ukraine.

Any 'provocation' is manufactured by Putin. Again. That is what he does.
For young people like McRicket, 2014 was a lifetime ago. If he's 22 now, he'd have been 14 then. He obviously doesn't understand that Russia took Donbas by force along with the rest of Crimea. Putin's Russia is the aggressor here, not Ukraine.

If a party member puts the party ahead of the Constitution and that member also swore an oath to the Constitution, then they are in violation of their oaths.

All of those who helped Trump plan 1/6 and who also took an oath are guilty of treason.

Totally agreed. But in a different situation, opposition could simply mean voicing opposing views. And that is the way our political system is designed to function.

Nothing wrong with opposing views. OTOH, views that are contrary to science and/or common sense are either insane or, more commonly, motivated by money.

Examples of "opposition" and the reason for opposition:

1. Global Warming. Profits suffer whenever pollution standards are increased.

2. Gay marriage and abortion. Appeasement to the radical theocrats within the Republican Party. This is why the Evangelistas support the other Republican bullshit since it pushes forward their religious agenda into government.

3. Illegal immigration. Superficial opposition to appease the lower-economic/blue collar workers. Several major corporations and industries profit from illegal workers. Putting up a wall instead of going after those making the money off illegals is a smoke screen to maintain profits.

4. Racism. Divide and conquer. Scapegoating minorities to explain problems of the majority is an old trick dating used by immoral leaders to unite the majority under the leadership. Wedge issues are attempts to maintain the status quo meaning maintain current profits.

5. Imposing single Party politics in states and the nation. Putting a single party in charge of all decisions and policies looks like it would maximize the ability of corporation to make massive profits, but, IMO, they'll be as successful as the Soviet Union or fascist Germany and Italy in the long run. Profit is the motive.

They did not attack without provocation.
Ukraine has been attacking the Donbass region for almost 8 years - killing thousands.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/War_in_Donbas

And those regions officially asked for Russian assistance once Russia acknowledged their autonomy.
Now - I think Russia should NEVER have attacked Ukraine proper.
But this is NOT without provocation.

But the Saudis DID attack in Yemen without any provocation at all.

Oh come on now.
I GUARANTEE that you have made comments about something that is not the direct subject of the thread you are posting in?

Simple question...why are you posting less/not at all about the War in Yemen that has killed FAR more people than this war?

Wow. Did you bother to read the wiki article you linked to?
Separatists in Donbass attacked first. Once they had control of some area, they held a referendum in the towns controlled by the separatists and the separatists voted to leave Ukraine. The referendum wasn't held for the entire Donbass.

Russia didn't acknowledge the regions being separate from Ukraine until after Russia moved 150,000 troops to the border of Ukraine. Russia recognized them on Feb 22, 2022.
Russia sent troops into Ukraine in 2014.

A cease fire was established in late 2014. The separatists violated that cease fire multiple times taking more territory in violation of the cease fire agreement.
Over the next few years multiple cease fires were negotiated and almost all were violated by the separatists.
A poll of people in the Donbass region in 2019 showed 55% wanted to return to Ukraine.
There is no evidence in the wiki article of the Ukraine army killing thousands.
