I.dont think it's because of cowardice that they don't leave, they have no integrity to actually follow through with what they say.

We could if we increased taxes on corporations and cut subsidies to businesses that are profitable, defense spending as well. When the corporate tax rate was 50%, it was the most productive and prosperous time in America. 1950’s

An educated populace is a prosperous populace.

Or, as I did, work their way through college. Interestingly I studied math and engineering.

Jumping to incorrect conclusions and pretending that poor=stupid is something the left is very good at.

One thing that I know, nobody will be getting college educations from the government when the debt collapses the economy. We cannot continue to spend money we do not have in perpetuity just because you really really want it spent.

The debt is well beyond meaningless at this point. Of course, that doesn't stop the reps from trying to add another chunk by giving the rich tax breaks again. Say, maybe instead of feeding the rich again and again, we could all start paying a flat tax rate and start catching up with other countries. We can have nice things after all.

Leftist don't want a flat tax rate. Taxes are a weapon wielded by leftists for political purposes. They aren't about revenue.

Apparently, it doesn't matter. If it did, we would have had to bite the bullet way back when. We haven't had the money since the Iraq War years, but we've waved the magic wand and spent untold numbers without much to show for it.

This will only work as long as the world continues to use the US Dollar for trade. Once that stops we are f*cked. Even with that though, it is possible that the debt can overwhelm our growth and we will never be able to pay it back. Once the banks realize that the minimal pretend lowering of our credit rating will be real... and we'll be f*cked then too.

Like we need more graduates in gender studies, art history, or political science... There are over 7 million GOOD PAYING trade jobs open right now. If they can't afford college, then they can go to fucking work in a trade and make the same or better money than they'd get going to college.

Pretty much. Absolutely batcrap crazy. And then they wanted me to vote for the GOP instead of for who I think should win regardless of the "two party system"...

One spending party with two sides. It's a coin, not different parties. Everyone has a favorite, heads/tails... it doesn't matter we still drive towards the cliff with great abandon.

Yuppers. Trump has done MORE for the push to eliminate the dollar as the reserve currency for global trade than any single president of the US.

Trump seems to positively WANT that eventuality.
