Tuition Increases and Layoffs Are Coming to a Broad Set of Universities

Better the military than more welfare and social spending. At least the military provides a useful service in return.

Either you are military yourself which means your livelihood is being paid for by ME or you aren't which means you will one day be using said "social spending" which means you will, again, be relying on ME to help you financially.

Your pick.

Like we need more graduates in gender studies, art history, or political science... There are over 7 million GOOD PAYING trade jobs open right now. If they can't afford college, then they can go to fucking work in a trade and make the same or better money than they'd get going to college.

fuck off with that gender studies crap.

MOST STUDENTS ARE IN THE BUSINESS COLLEGE YOU FUCKING MORON

Or, as I did, work their way through college. Interestingly I studied math and engineering.

Unless you are under the age of about 30 you worked your way through college when tuition wasn't off the charts, when states often spent more money on their state schools, etc.

And if you are in your 50-60's like me you probably got a healthy dose of student loans which you could pay back within a few years of graduation (especially with a good math and engineering job).

Those things aren't available to today's students.

I did not get student loans. I worked my way through college. The student loan mess is what has caused tuition to reach incredible heights. We did that to ourselves, we can undo it as well. I also went to college when everyone with an oxygen addiction wasn't allowed in, you actually had to have the grades and prove an ability to learn.

Most students work their way through college. Only the very rich do not need to. Like Trump.

That is when you have to make an adult decision right? Is what you are going to college for worth the expense? Or are you better off doing a trade or something else. Unfortunately in today's high schools they do not even teach basic economics. These young folks today are not capable of figuring that out.
