Tweeking the CFP

Ok then. Kinda defensive, huh?

Yes, I suggested that every team plays cupcakes. Rutgers may not be a FCS team, but they are most certainly a cupcake team.

See, you're doing it again. Trying to equate an FCS team to an FBS team in an attempt to justify Alabama's invite last season.

I don't have to justify anything. The playoff committee agrees with me.

And I am not equating anything. But to claim that beating an FBS team that was no competition, is somehow acceptable, while playing an FCS team should disqualify you from the playoffs is ridiculous.

Rutgers ended last season with a resounding 4-8 record. Oregon State finished 1-11 last year. Illinois finished the 2017 season with a record of 2-10. The fact that they play in the FBS does not make any them any less of a cupcake team for Ohio State.

And, lest you forget, and FCS team knocked off 13th ranked VA Tech last weekend.

A cupcake is a cupcake. Are you a fan of a team with no cupcakes on their schedule?

Besides, the cupcake schools can be dangerous. Ask VATech.

Are you saying that the many cupcakes on Alabama's schedule have a chance of beating them?

Congrats...you and Winterborn are on the same page now.

Not hardly. He will come up with any reason to justify why Alabama should be in the top 4 every year despite not doing what other teams left out of the top spots did.

I beg to differ. CFM is a troll who spends as much time talking about dick sucking as he does about the topic.

I am simply saying that a cupcake is a cupcake. There are plenty of FBS programs that are still cupcakes.

I don't figure we can dispense with every single emotional measure. Indeed, even in the significant gatherings, the power groups fluctuate from year to year. What's more, there ought to be some weight given to quality wins. The point framework you propose would give a similar weight (for Ohio State) for a prevail upon Rutgers as a prevail upon Penn State or Michigan. Michigan would have gotten a point for beating Nebraska. Nebraska is 0-3. What's more, Michigan will get a solitary point on the off chance that they beat Ohio State.
