I fully support taking redistricting out of the hands of politicians. I supported in 2005 (or whatever year it was) when Arnold put it on the special ballot in California and it didn't pass. I don't care if it benefits the Democrats. I support(ed) it on principle.

Every district should be mandated to have right angles. As close to rectangles/squares as you can make them to have a similar population level. safe seats for the two parties simply allow more extremists from the left and right to get elected. Part of why we have seen growing polarization in DC for the past twenty years or so.

NEWARK, N.J. — A Republican National Committee official calculated that a so-called ballot security program in Louisiana "could keep the black vote down considerably," according to documents released in federal court Friday.

The documents and court hearing were the latest developments in a controversy over the GOP's ballot program that Democrats maintain is aimed at reducing minority turnout. The Republicans say the program's sole purpose is to purge ineligible voters from voting roles.





In an Aug. 13 memo the court made public Friday, Kris Wolfe, the Republican National Committee Midwest political director, wrote Lanny Griffith, the committee's Southern political director, and said of the Louisiana campaigning:

"I know this race is really important to you. I would guess that this program will eliminate at least 60-80,000 folks from the rolls. . . . If it's a close race . . . which I'm assuming it is, this could keep the black vote down considerably."

The sad reality for Liberals who parrot this moronic claim is that Obama got just about everything he wanted his first two years in office. The FACT that it has been a disaster and buried the American people in a trillion dollars of deficits and nearly $18 trillion in debt can correctly be placed squarely on the Democrats shoulders who controlled the House and the Senate from 2007 through 2010 and took a deficit from $161 billion to over $1.4 trillion in less than three years.

The sad truth is that while the unemployment rate has been declining, so have labor participation rates indicating that the ONLY reason for the lower unemployment rate is because so many have just given up looking for a job. The REAL unemployment rate is around 14% and for young blacks its around 22%.

Are Liberals really THAT uninformed and partisan? Democrats don't give a shit about anyone other than sustaining their political power and desperately trying to ensure it by embracing low information fools who either want something for nothing or think they care more than anyone else on the planet.
