Understanding Socialism

The "greed" part is, you don't want to use your own money to care for the needy, you want the government to take MY money and care for the needy! Because you think I have more money than I need, and I don't deserve to spend it how I please. If you can get the government to soak my ass in taxes, it lets you off the hook... you can sleep well tonight knowing all the poor people are cared for, not because YOU helped, but because you saw to it that government stole MY money and helped the needy with it. You didn't have to write the check... it wasn't YOUR money... but the needy got helped, and you can feel good about yourself for that!

GREED! GREED! GREED! Because you are too GREEDY to do your part and help the needy with your OWN money! That's the "greed" part I am talking about!

I don't know where you're having a problem understanding what I write but I'll give it one more shot.

I pay taxes. I do my part. Why do you object to doing your part?

You are brain dead. Like any other monopoly, the customers suffer while the provider gets lazy.

The "provider" can be voted out. The "provider", when being the government, is not going to disappear overnight or declare bankruptcy and walk away with your funds.

No. They just corrupt science itself to tell you you don't need what they don't feel like paying for.

Right- vote out a government bureaucracy. More proof that you're brain dead. :palm:

Its Apple, Water, Once and IB running neck and neck for the finish line in this marathon stupid race...who will be be crowned the stupidest of the four in the lead?
Probably gonna have to share the prize between the four in all fairness...but Apple sure is trying his best to take the lead....go, pinheads, go....

Once, again, we come back to square one. Show us ONE country that had a government run medical plan and reverted to the old "pay or suffer" system. Just one. Surely there must be one.

Of the dozens of countries that have implemented medical plans show us one that scrapped it and reverted to the old "pay or suffer" system. Just ONE.

Give us one example, otherwise, your objections are based on fantasy. Pure fantasy.

To argue the US will be the only country unable to run a medical plan when dozens of other countries do so is not only nutty but shameful.

As others have said if the situation is so dire the US can't figure out a plan for themselves feel free to adopt one of the plans currently in use in other countries.

Leadership of those countries won't let it revert. THey enjoy the power over life and death.

Actually, it's vote out the government which supports a certain bureaucracy and replace it with one that will change it. It's done all the time.
Oh sure, like we can vote out Social Security. More proof that you are brain dead.

Name one government bureaucracy that has ever been voted out by the People.

Nonsense!

If the people in those countries wanted it changed there is always some guy/gal wanting to make a name for themselves and they would run for political office campaigning on dismantling it.

Those wanting to change it will not have their campaign funded. It's that simple.

Didn't Bush try to put forward the idea of private SS? The people were against it.

When a bureaucracy isn't voted out it's because the majority of people don't want it out.

In order to vote our SS you'd need 50% of congress to agree to change rules that are nearly 80 years old. And these rules have taken money from millions of folks for the promise of a poverty level paycheck when they retire.

What was the name of that bureaucracy that was voted out again? I must have missed where you answered my previous question.

How can you possibly say that after the last election? How do you think Obama rose up? All those private donations. Once he reached a certain point then the monied folks jumped on the wagon.

The monied folk fund all candidates.

Plus, obama has betrayed his words on the campaign trail.

Pay attention. The people don't want bureaucracies voted out.

Imagine if SS had gone private. If you think a lot of people lost money over the last few years just imagine how large that number would have been.

SS was established for a reason. The problem with people against SS is they forget the reason.

The same applies to any other government program. They were established for a reason. The same with medical reform. There is a reason and that reason is there are people who are not covered. And it will get worse as costs rise.

Maybe it will take 10 or 20 years to insure everyone has access to medical care, regardless of their financial situation. Then those who know little about history will question why universal medical was implemented.

Your naive idiocy is not something you should be displaying so prominently.

Of course they do. They hedge their bets. If someone has popular support they will fall in line behind them so if the majority of people want a bureaucracy removed the monied folks will support the candidate campaigning on that.

Obama lied?????

You have it backwards. They fund all candidates so all candidates will do what THEY, not the people, want.

Wasn't obama going to decrease our involvement in the middleast? pull out of iraq etc?
