Unvaccinated People Likely to Catch COVID Repeatedly

Cheating in elections is why republicans can retain power when they don’t have the majority of voters

Democrats are now getting the vaccine. That really makes a difference.

It does. We got our boosters at Meijer pharmacy last week. We were talking about vaccine reluctance with the pharmacy tech. He said they had a large jump in vaccine appts. once the Pfizer was officially authorized. He said that he believed it was because of its prior "experimental" status and once that was removed, they got the vaccine. Overall, for ages 12 through adult, our vax rate is ~60%.

The republicans lie and say individual Americans try to vote more than once

The courts say the Republican Party cheats in elections by keeping individual Americans from voting

"The risk of COVID-19 reinfection is about 5% at three months, which jumps to 50% after 17 months, the research team found. Reinfection could become increasingly common as immunity wanes and new variants develop, they said.

""We tend to think about immunity as being immune or not immune. Our study cautions that we instead should be more focused on the risk of reinfection through time," Alex Dornburg, senior study author and assistant professor of bioinformatics and genomics at UNC, said in the statement.

""As new variants arise, previous immune responses become less effective at combating the virus," he said. "Those who were naturally infected early in the pandemic are increasingly likely to become reinfected in the near future.""

Not sure what's happening where you are, but it's pretty much gone from here.

Hello Walt,

We just reached 5 million dead worldwide.

We have not yet reached a million dead Americans but we will if we don't force the hold-outs to get vaccinated.

At first, the pandemic spread in large cities where there were more Democratic voters. Then, as the pandemic spread to rural areas, there began to be more Trump voters dying than Democrats. But in 2021 most of the deaths have been among the unvaccinated. There have been approximately 200K deaths since vaccines became available. Nearly all of them were likely Trump voters.

Liberals are more likely to take precautions and protect themselves from the virus.

Trump voters are dying at a rate of 11 to 1 over Biden voters as long as the pandemic rages.

And it is Trump voters who are keeping the pandemic going strong. Go figure.

Do you remember when this first began, the Reichwingers were all "Hahaha, it's just blue states where everyone is dying." Well, not anymore. Per Worldometer.info, out of the top 20 states ranked by number of dead, only six are "blue" states. The rest -- 14 -- are "red" states.

“Vaccine-induced immunity was more protective than infection-induced immunity against laboratory-confirmed COVID-19.”

There is no part of the country where Covid-19 is gone from. Are you in New Zealand, or China?

She's in Florida. FL has the sad distinction of being #3 in deaths now, surpassing even NYS. These stats are from Friday (the 29th), from Worldometer.info

Since September 1st, 19,080 people have died in Florida from Covid-19. That is about 10,000 per month. All of the USA had 407,300 deaths during the 45 months we fought WWII. That is about 9,000 per month. And that is for the entire country of then 131 million, not a state with only 21 million people.

It would be like saying that WWII was "pretty much over" in 1943.

I know, right? On the graphic that I posted, above, of the top 20 states ranked by number of pandemic deaths, only six are so-called blue states. It would appear that the (R) way of dealing with it by ignoring it was not particularly a successful one for their citizens.
