I expect he did it as part of his roll-back of everything Obama. Joke's on him. The law was passed in 2007, under W's regime. And it never banned incandescents anyways.

Nearly every bulb in my house is LED, except for a few long tube florescent fixtures that still work well and I have a small stash of bulbs from a multi-pack that I bought years ago. Oh, and some odd-shaped bulbs that are in some little-used ceiling fixtures, but only because I have not yet found LED replacements. I took a huge box of old, unused, incandescents and CFLs to the ReStore a while back, as it makes no sense to use them.

It's a minor challenge finding some LED replacements, but Amazon makes it easier. I've long replaced my microwave bulbs, my low voltage landscape bulbs, and my under-counter bulbs.

Once the Edison type LED candelabra bulbs became affordable I replaced all the chandelier bulbs with them. The exposed filaments look awesome on or off.

The only bulb that won't be changed to LED is the one in the oven.

Leftists must hate the poor. Went to buy a light bulb in Commiefornia; $21 for two bulbs. Incandescent would have cost about $2.50.

I can afford them; those who are struggling to get by, not so much. :rolleyes:

I guess you didn't read the actual law that I posted a link to, eh? Incandescents were NOT banned. NOT. As in NO THEY WEREN'T. So you and your Tangerine Toddler are getting whipped up over -- wait for it -- NOTHING.

But then, it's been that way since 2016.

Semantics:

To be precise, on 1/1/12, a provision of federal law will effectively ban the manufacture of standard incandescent bulbs, starting with the 100-watt bulb in 2012 on down to the 40-watt bulb in 2014.
