Vast majority of Americans support photo ID requirement to vote, new poll says 84% of Americans favor requiring a photo ID to vote, Gallup Poll finds

Make sure the person voting is the person that is registered

I bought will call tickets for Six Flags ....guess what I had to show ID to make sure it matched the person that bought them!!!
Signature takes care of that. Maybe better than an easily faked photo ID.

84% of Americans favor requiring a photo ID to vote, Gallup Poll finds

As concerns over election integrity remain a contentious issue ahead of the 2024 presidential election, a new national poll shows that most Americans support having photo identification as a requirement to vote in elections.

A Gallup Poll released Thursday shows that 84% of respondents favor requiring a photo ID, while 83% support providing proof of citizenship when registering to vote for the first time. The poll noted that voter attitudes toward these issues were similar to those seen in its July 2022 poll.

Thirty-six states currently request or require voters to show IDs when they go to the polls.

In July, the U.S. House of Representatives passed the Safeguard American Voter Eligibility (SAVE) Act, which aims to ensure only American citizens vote in federal elections, with the support of only five Democrats....

Why are Democrat political against only Americans voting in elections?
But wait! I thought as a brown skinned person that I was too stupid to figure out how to get an ID!

Red states that require ID to vote do not. Which is what prevented them from implementing it in the 11th hour in '20. The courts would not allow it.
Wrong. The free state ID was put into effect in Wisconsin when ultra conservative Governor Scott Walker was in power. He along with the Conservative assembly is who pushed for and got it. They wanted to take away any excuses the left would have when voter ID went into effect. Guess what? The left cried anyway,..........in typical fashion.

I have never seen Scott Walker called ultra conservative.....in fact I have seen a lot of people wondering how much of what he said he actually believed....he seems more like a lifestyle conservative.

That his presidential was a complete nothing was taken as evidence that there is no there there.

Here and Wisconsin we have FREE State identification cards AND voter ID laws that make ID mandatory to vote. So,...yeah... :)

Everyone should have a photo ID...and it should be required to vote...
If you registered with one, then you have one...so why not just bring it to the polls?

He got voter ID passed into law in Wisconsin so........

He also was an anti union activist....which was all the rage then....that it was all the rage and Walker was right on it gets to be a problem when it happens too often.
He was not so much anti UNION , he could have cared less about private unions, ...but was about choice when it comes to STATE public unions. You should not be FORCED to be a union member in Wisconsin if you choose to be a teacher. I have met and spoke personally with Governor Walker when he 1st ran for the office and after he was elected. Can't say who he is now,...but in those days he was a true no bullshit believer,....a stand up guy.

Well, it's time that they do...
Everyone should have a photo ID...and that would not be difficult...
Hard to argue with that when we are not that far away from it being a criminal act to not be with our personal monitoring device, with the correct apps, which may very well direct our lives by social credit, carbon credit, digital currency points, while making sure we have permission to leave our 15 minute city.

I saw up close and personal just how ugly the left can be in those days. In fact,...Walker got THE TRUMP TREATMENT years before Trump did. There were multiple times his life was literally endangered when Act 10 was getting legislated into law.
