Vast majority of Americans support photo ID requirement to vote, new poll says 84% of Americans favor requiring a photo ID to vote, Gallup Poll finds

I'm perfectly fine with requiring ID, but there's never been any connection made between not requiring an ID and voter fraud. Voter fraud just doesn't happen in amounts that matter and I don't recall ever hearing about someone being caught voting in somebody else's name in person.
Agreed voter fraud is rare. Most fraudulent voting is done by MAGAts.

- There is minimal evidence to suggest that the few fraudulent votes benefitted Democratic candidates.

- In Georgia, Heritage has reported no cases of fraud in the 2020 or 2022 general elections, in which nearly 9 million votes were cast.

- The political parties at the national, state and local level, have an intense interest in who votes and how.

- To believe that massive fraud could occur against the Republican party means that one also has to believe that the Republican Party was asleep at the switch; that they did not mobilize attorneys, or that the attorneys they did mobilize didn’t do their job.

So you prefer we just trust that people will be honest and not actually prevent noncitizens from voting. I guess you don't lock your front door either. 84% of Americans WANT voter ID.

Indeed.

Good men and women have died, in part, for the right to vote in fair elections.

If you are too lazy to get an ID, don't vote.

It's obvious why the far left Democratic Socialist loons don't want photo ID to vote. They want to cheat.

THis whole fucking thread is a joke. Most of the civilized world uses some sort of photo voter ID. For Christ's sake, if India, with its diverse Caste system, can manage to provide photo IDs to its citizens, plus a finger dipped in ink to show they have voted, it should be a model for this country.
Face it you alt-lefties, you are scared shitless of a fair election. Stop with the "they can't get a ID" bullshit. Everyone can get an ID, everyone needs an ID to get through their lives.

I’m glad to know Texas doesn’t mind a little socialism
I'm glad to know you are worried about a little socialism. I guess you are against food stamps aren't you?
dear fucking idiot

I have never been against using social programs in our democratic capitalist society

The right has screamed about it all my adult life

Did you forget you are supposed to scream about it?

Fuck you very much

Dear fucking idiot

Your ilk has never supported a bill to do so

Wrong. The free state ID was put into effect in Wisconsin when ultra conservative Governor Scott Walker was in power. He along with the Conservative assembly is who pushed for and got it. They wanted to take away any excuses the left would have when voter ID went into effect. Guess what? The left cried anyway,..........in typical fashion.
Wisconsin is not a Red state, and a court struck down the last minute law. Years later the appeals court reinstated ID laws with certain provisions. Get your facts straight. The issue isn't the ID. The issue is Walker's attempt to ram it through at the last minute. There are still thousands of people in the nation with no birth certificate, making ID hard to acquire.

North Carolina's law is still in the courts.

And you have a dog too. But you don't need it to vote. Nor should you
I didn't need the dog to register to vote... And you said that an ID was necessary to register... So that person already has an I.D... And should produce it If they want to vote... I'm not sure why you have a problem with that...
