Especially when you have done something to provoke someone or make them defensive, like follow them around in the dark. Stand your ground is fine in many circumstances. But it should not be allowed to be abused and if you can instigate a fight and then use it as a justification for killing someone, I am afraid it will be.
I don't understand why the state did not insist on including the "aggressor" exception in the jury instructions. Or if they did ask for it why it was not included.
Like a lot of legislation it can sound very good in theory but it's actual application can be anything but.
