It's incredible the things Google finds. A simple search for 2000 (the year 007 claims this happened) reveal only one case of an incident of children throwing bricks off a bridge
in 2003.

While not having anything to do with this supposed case, the article does examine previous cases and nowhere does it mention a death, other than that of a lorry driver in 2003.

The number of cases where objects have been thrown into oncoming traffic from motorway footbridges has "dramatically increased" in the last few months, police said.
In the first quarter of this year Surrey Police dealt with an average of 26 incidents a month - twice as high as in any of the last three years.
The number of incidents of objects being thrown off bridges over motorways and A-roads in Surrey has increased to 105 in the first four months of 2003, compared with 163 in 2002, 167 in 2001 and 89 in 2000.
