I don't really care what self-proclaimed title she gave herself. Once the officers approached, told her she was being arrested, and made an attempt to get her out of her vehicle, she became a suspect in a crime. She obviously failed to follow law enforcement officer's orders and resisted arrest.
There is
NO OTHER REASON FOR THE OFFICERS TO APPROACH HER VEHICLE AND TRY TO GAIN ACCESS BY OPENING THE DOOR ON IT.
So, you can call her whatever you want. I will call her a "perp" (criminal perpetrator) and "criminal" because she was in the commission of several crimes in the moments leading up to her being shot and killed.
If this is your definition of "legal observer,"
- Legal Observer Role: Good was reportedly present as a legal observer during protests against ICE activities, which typically involves monitoring police interactions without direct involvement in confrontations.
Then she wasn't a legal observer when she was shot and killed. She was clearly involved in a direct involvement and confrontation with law enforcement. It doesn't matter what the reason was particularly either. Once the officers approached her vehicle and began to give her commands, it fell on her to obey those commands. She failed entirely to do so, then attempted to flee the scene resulting in her being shot as she hit and brushed aside a law enforcement officer.
