I will have no problem paying more. Some of poor slow magas will tho. ;-)
And in the long run, the big picture, those slightly higher prices, will create an environmental and fiscal incentive, to start making those same products locally, here in the U.S. rather than China!
Resulting in an American Industrial resurgence, with many more jobs for U.S.!
It is a bargain at the price!
I spend a bit more, and give my fellow Americans JOBS, rather than funding the military expansion and upgrade of the hostile communists.
The Chinese were oh so good at this game, it is high time we shoved it back into their faces!
Bring on the American Factories and Jobs, I welcome it.

If Congress and Biden had the will to do so, they could change the law(s) granting the president power to unilaterally impose tariffs, during the lame duck session prior to trump taking office....

There are a lot of us that will have no problem paying the higher price but then that depends on the percent of the increase.
Trump is talking 20.30 40 percent or MORE and that will hurt a LOT of low income and poorer AMERICANS ,
Americans who are working two or more jobs and are already having a hard time putting food on the table and a roof over their families heads , What are they suppose to do?
These Tariffs ARE going to hurt a lot of people and IMO like a lot of economists have been saying it will lead to a recession or even a depression and also effect the world economy big time, and we will end up in a lot of trade wars we really do not need now.
Well, if/when that happens, he and the Republiclown Party are going to own it and they'll have to wear it.
That's why I'm thinking the tariffs either won't happen or not to anywhere near the extent trump promised.
It might turn out to be another "big, beautiful wall" that never get anywhere near completed.

well first of all Trump is not talking " slightly higher prices," he is talking min, 20 % and 30,40 or a lot more percent tariffs that will be passed on to the US consumers 20.30 40 or more percent is not " . slightly higher prices, ".
and #2 it will take many years to build the infrastructure needed to benefit us and bring back jobs.
It is more then likely to cause lay offs and as economist are saying these tariffs may cause a deep recession or even a depression hurting a lot of AMERICANS .
As I have asked other posters just what are the people who are ALREADY working two or more jobs just to put food on their tables and a roof over their families heads suppose to do?
If Trump does do this it will get a lot worse way before it ever gets better.
These tariffs may sound good to you low IQ MAGAS but they will do a lot of harm before there is any benefit seen from them.

Well we all know there are NOT too many " sane " Republicans / MAGA let alone sane Republicans in Congress.
and they will fight it as hard as they can.
I was working on the assumption that they (the sane, non-MAGA Republicans aka "RINOS") would be the ones who'd initiate it since they'd be the ones on the hot seat when inflation came roaring back worse than ever before.
