Was FDR a fascist?

Then why is there no source online that equates Fascism to Socialism?

EDIT: Also, I'm going to bed. I'll be back in the morning.

Yeah, see National Socialism and Mussolini's embrace of socialism.

And you ignored the points on your spinning. How is FDR a socialist for his social welfare programs but the fascist are not for their same programs. You have spun yourself dizzy trying to defend a crappy system.

BTW, I skimmed through most of Mussolini's horseshit. He abandoned the struggle for a classless society, just as every fucking socialist that has come to power has. Thanks for wasting my time.

When the one thing happens to be the definition of fascism, yes, it does. Fascism is a system that leaves property in private ownership yet directs its use through heavy regulation and direction by central planners.

Your definition seems to be based on how well it worked or some personality nonsense. I don't give a crap about personality. I don't give a crap if you liked FDR. I am attacking the insane notion you presented that fascism is effective economics. It is not and FDR's reign is a good example of how it fails.

Yes, FDR was a socialist douchebag as was Hitler.

I can straighten this out. Gonzo doesn't consider FDR a fascist because he did Make work projects which perhaps were not supported by market demands at the moment, but were to create jobs and invigorate the economy. FDR actually did TOO much for the population in general instead of being focused solely on pampering the elite, in gonzo's feudalistic view.

No shit. That would be because class is inevitable, so he and other disillusioned socialists decided to find a new way.

You continue to ignore that, no matter what similarities you have managed to find, there is no source that equates socialism to fascism. None.

Fascism is, I suppose, socialist like the United States is socialist. That is, there are some socialist tendencies, but it is not socialist. It is authoritarian, statist, nationalist, corporatist, etc., but not socialist.

Of course, from your perspective I can see how you think it is socialist. After all, as a Ron Paul supporter anything except for unchecked Capitalism (see Robocop for details what that will be like to live in) will be seen as socialist.

FDR is a socialist because if he had his way we would have ended up in some crappy, over-taxed, government-owned state.

I am a Fascist (sort of) because I wouldn't mind ending up in a secure, moderately-taxed, corporatist society that has social class and freedom, but is Party controlled.
