That system doesn't seem too advanced to have in place ahead of time. Big diesel pump trucks with the inlet ready to plop in the drink with miles of hose. The delivery system that would be required seems basic and relatively cheap to me.

But no doubt the salt residue would kill some endangered cockroach or something.

let the reservoirs go dry,
diverted millions of gallons of precious water to divered into the ocean in the name of saving a little fish,
cut the L A fire budget by $17.6 million dollars,
send their valuable fire equipment to Ukraine,
cancel fire hydrant testing,
never clear underbrush,
hold DEI conferences instead of training,
have no action plan,
not lisetn to then President Trump when he met with Newscum and clearly outlined what needed to be done to prevent disasters like this,
last and not least,
keep electing DEI hires and Democrats.

That type of ignorant statement I would expect from the likes of Jesse Walters on Fox News. Newsflash: you've had large fires that threatened or burnt out homes in California LONG before this one. The male Caucasians in charge dealt with it with the same ups and downs as the current fire dept. heads. THIS fire is WAY off the charts. Houses and people were lost then as they unfortunately are now.

They can, yes. Canada has sent several large firefighting planes that are now scooping water from the ocean for dumping on fires. One of them sadly got put out of service yesterday because some idiot flew a drone into it, putting a hole in its wing.
