I dont agree that air traffic controllers need to be federal employees. I understand the need for a universal system regarding air traffic but there's any number of departments that could regulate thatTrue, but some things are obviously something the government should be doing. Air traffic control is a good example. No, there is nothing in basic or founding documents about that, but it is a necessity and it is interstate in nature. Having the federal government do it so the system is coordinated makes sense. Having each state do it with their own rules and regulations makes zero sense.
On the other hand, education is clearly not a federal function in any way shape, or form.
