What happens if an enemy gets on America's soil and attack?

Thank back on Gulf War I, how many months did it take to ferry an invasion force to Kuwait to invade Iraq ? Months and months and thats wit loads of massive transport aircraft and naval. THey would have to stage from Canada or Mexico and that would simply not be allowed.

As Napoleon and Hitler discovered going after Russia, its painfully hard to invade a massive country.

While China could make a land bridge across the Berring Straits of deceased Chinese soldiers they would be stopped in Alaska before they could build an invasion force. You cannot rapidly transport millions of people, supplies and armor/transportation across the Pacific ocean at all much less without being noticed.

Russia only had to cross a dotted line, not thousands of miles of open ocean.

I did not give one that could be successful.

So what if there are 10,000 spies and cells, look at how big this country is. What could they hope to do to enable a months long stranglehold on the Pentagon ? Answer ? Nothing. They are too modular/protected and smart.

Have to have nukes and its impossible to sneak them in here. And that "impossible" is not hyperbole. There is a reason Hussein never obtained nukes and it was not because he failed to pay for them.

nobody has enough planes to fly enough paratroopers here without being noticed and stopped. Couldnt even be done from Mexico or Canada.

but lets entertain your fantasy and say someone had a stealth plane that could drop 1000 or 10,000 paratroopers on the Capital (White House or whatever) they could kill everyone in Congress/White House/Pentagon/Foggy Bottom and it would not win them the USA. Command and control can be handled from MANY other sites.

there are loads of things to fret about, this is not one of them.

you can see into your backyard with Google Earth via the internet IN your back yard. Imagine what the govt is looking at 24/7/365 globally... its impossible to hide big.

It is not my fantasy but a question. (BTW, 9/11 happened so there's that)

Also I said nothing about the Congress/White House/Pentagon. They can land anywhere within maximum distances from military bases.

Why do you think I am fretting about this? Republicans are the ones who have been fretting about President Biden starting WWIII.

Not possible to sneak up on military bases with thousands up troops/equipment/etc and we have a lot of these bases. That many planes cannot be concealed or even assembled to make the flights.

WWIII will not be a ground war here for all the reasons mentioned.

As to 9/11, measures have been taken to address that MO. Not just banning shampoo and taking your shoes off.

9/11 demonstrated how easy it was for them to attack America. One part of the Pentagon was destroyed.

So the possibility is still there.

bin Laden was Saudi. Specifically Wahhabists. There are US mercenaries in Ukraine. Should the Russians consider this a US attack on Russia?

You don't think our Air Defense network would notice thousands of Chinese transports headed for California?
