What is an oligarchy? The warning Biden issued in his farewell, explained.

Is America an Oligarchy Yet?

Confirmation hearings rarely cut to the heart of an existential question about the nature of our society. But Thursday’s hearing for Scott Bessent, President-elect Donald Trump’s pick for Treasury secretary, did just that when Senator Bernie Sanders of Vermont tried to get him to admit that the United States is becoming an oligarchy, a question that ought to be the subject of far more public debate.

“Forget how they made their money,” Sanders pressed. “When so few people have so much wealth and power, do you think that is an oligarchic form of society?”

It means I want to know what prize I will win.

I think you're already a "winner", according to a thread in the War Zone.

If you are unable or unwilling to name any other oligarchs, I expect you might "win" again, if that's your strategy.

"Opinion".

Go find a hobby. All you do is blather about nothing.

NO!

White libs just spent $2 Billion to buy the presidency, far outspending their opponent, ... and failed.

There are no Black libs?
All White Libs believe they are Black. That they Feel and share the agony and suffering of cotton picking slavery.

And ...

"If you have a problem figuring out whether you're for me or Trump, then you ain't black'."

Joe "Stalin" Biden

Dear Leader made it clear that the only way to be black is by voting for him, not the color of your skin.

Being rich doesn’t necessarily make you an oligarch. An oligarch is someone who influences politics outside the formal system, explained Brooke Harrington, who studies this at Dartmouth University.

“It’s someone who isn’t an elected representative or Cabinet member,” she said, “but who has the ear of the president.” She pointed to the late Sheldon Adelson, a billionaire casino tycoon and Republican megadonor who did work on U.S.-Israeli relations, as an example of an American oligarch.

Redefinition fallacy. An oligarchy is dictatorship by committee. It is a form of government.
The United States is organized as a federated republic.

Say, didn't Bungling Biden become something of an oligarch himself?

The term "oligarch" typically refers to a person who is part of a small group controlling a country, its government, or its economy, often associated with wealth and influence in a way that might suggest control over political or economic systems.

Joe Biden has significant influence due to his long career in politics. His connections and network could be seen as a form of influence akin to that of an oligarch, where political power is leveraged for personal or collective gain.
Biden is not in charge of anything. He's just a puppet. He is part of an oligarchy though.
Biden has significantly increased his personal wealth through book deals, speaking engagements, and other activities, which might suggest he's capitalizing on his political influence for financial gain, a trait sometimes associated with oligarchs.
A form of government has nothing to do with wealth.
