Go see one of each and let us know. God knows you have some issues you need sorted out
A Psychologist dispenses advice only while a Psychiatrist dispenses advice and then medication to try remedy the mental health prognosis. The reason I ask is because I have this female friend (Yes, she's a liberal) that is having very serious mental or depression problems because of her latest divorce. She has quite a lot of money, so hiring a psychologist or a psychiatrist would be no problem financially speaking for her.
So my guess is that the only difference between a psychologist and a psychiatrist in this case should she choose one, is that the psychiatrist would be the only one qualified to issue any and or all psyche medicines that may be needed.
Anyone know the difference? Seems to me that as far as diagnosing and dealing with a patient as having severe mental or depressive conditions, that both of them would be on a similar or equal level.
horrible distinction. What's the difference between a psychiatrist and a psychologist?
If you say, "I hate my mother", a psychiatrist will ask, "Why do you say that?", whereas a psychologist will say, "Thank you for sharing that with me."
It is HUMOR you oblivious 'tard!horrible distinction.
you're usually better than this.

It's okay, but that joke has a ring of truth in it that both psychologists and psychiatrics are pretty much worthless, sort of like lawyers but a bit more useful...Sorry brosky i been known to 'sperg
