What is the opposition to the critical race theory

You don't have to even reply to this character, seems like a reasonable question but his answer will be ugly hate driven and Q anon crazy.

Awwww, don't be skeered, lil' commie leftard. It's just a logic exercise! Guno sez "The core idea is that race is a social construct, and that racism is not merely the product of individual bias or prejudice, but also something embedded in legal systems and policies." I am merely asking for examples of codified racism. If you can't provide me with evidence of these racist laws and policies that have never been challenged or simply thrown out by the passage of time and attitude, I am going to continue to operate on the concept that racism IS merely the product of individual bias or prejudice, and that bias or prejudice cannot be altered by new laws and policies, but only by a spiritual awakening and the resultant softening of the individual heart.

Is that too "hate driven and Q anon crazy" for you?

Give me an example of racism that is embedded in legal systems and policies. Preferably more than one.

A black man in search of an apartment in Brooklyn in 1972 saw a sign on a building: "apartment for rent."

"He met with the superintendent, and the superintendent said, 'I'm very sorry, but the apartment is rented — it's gone,' " "So the gentlemen said to him, 'Well, why is the sign out? I still see a sign that says apartment for rent.' And the superintendent said, 'Oh, I guess I forgot to take it down.' "

When a white woman went to the building to ask about the same apartment, "They greeted me with open arms and showed me every aspect of the apartment."

She said she reported her experience to the Human Rights Commission, and then returned to the apartment building. After she was offered a lease, the black man who had tried to rent the apartment entered the office with a city human rights commissioner, and the three of them confronted the building superintendent.

"He said, 'Well, I'm only doing what my boss told me to do — I am not allowed to rent to black tenants.

That is critical race and the boss was Trump. Just like Trump fired a black guy who worked with one of his accountants and he told him "I won't have a black man handling my money". It is that underlying fear or dislike by many whites that the black man is bad or inferior to the white man and if you don't think that is pervasive throughout this country you are a fucking moron. (While Trump claims he is the least racist guy in the country and his fucking stupid ass followers believe him.)

Policies do not have to be codified in law they just have to exist and I just gave you a perfect example of one of Trump's policies which are shared by millions of others like him. That is what you call critical race theory and it is only the racist such as yourself that can logically dispute that it exists.

Are you black?

This is in our federal Constitution: nor shall private property be taken for public use, without just compensation.

so you're saying white people should get compensation for having their slaves taken?

I think we just need to let bygones be bygones. most whites today didn't have slaves.

wtf?

policies must be legal.

law trumps policy.

there's that word again.

Trumps.

Pay attention please. I asked for evidence of racist laws or policies that were unchallenged. That accountant thing isn’t mentioned anywhere that I can find, so as far as I’m concerned it’s hearsay. Did it ever get adjudicated?

How stupid is the right , they think that if there is no racism if there is no law that is racist. Even the fact that these dweebs are trying to make that stupid point says everything that has to be said about their capacity to think

where there IS racism in law is with affirmative action.

it's discrimination against whites and men

Oh my! How very true! But if they exist outside of the law, how can they be challenged? Up to the point where an extralegal “policy” is challenged in a court of law, do we really KNOW it exists?

The apartment affair? Addressed by the human rights commission A HALF CENTURY AGO, a year after DJT took the reins of his father’s company. And BTW, did you know that Trump didn’t register as a republican until 1987? Then he changed parties again and he was a jackass from 1991 until 2009. His dad Fred was a lifelong jackass and was evidently arrested for some dealings with the KKK in 1927. Guess racism was all the rage. So how far back do you want to go?

It is a right wing flag that says "I'm a bigot and proud of it"

For some, yes, as many on JPP prove.

OTOH, I think for most of those who are against CRT it's simply a combination of fear and ignorance. Who was it that famously said he loved poorly educated people?

Clearly there are racist laws; Affirmative Action being the most oft used examples.

Just as clearly, racism and bigotry existed long before the United States ever came into being. Too many fucking morons think the US invented racism and slavery. All the finger pointing of who is to blame isn't solving anything.

Knowledge is power for the individual and a threat to the powers that be...which is why populists love the poorly educated.

"It is better to be unborn than untaught: for ignorance is the root of misfortune." - Plato...about the same time as Buddha, over 300 years before Jesus.

The Citizens of each State shall be entitled to all Privileges and Immunities of Citizens in the several States.

We could solve simple poverty virtually overnight merely with equal protection of our own laws.
