Normally and in the vast majority of instances that has traditionally been true.
But we live in a new era where all of the old rules no longer necessarily apply.
The onset of cancel culture has got corporations afraid to make the slightest move that might put them on the radar of the woke cancel Nazis, possibly resulting in screeching pubic hissy-fits that could easily result in a major loss of revenue.
Losing millions or just not making millions they might otherwise have made, as a result of playing it safe via a woke casting decision, might be seen as the lesser of two evils.
Situations like this are never "black and white", no pun intended.
