So while the crocodile tears flow from todays woke warrior whites because a fictional characters was changed to appeal to a changing audience, excuse everyone else for NGAF about your tears when you could GAF about the prior 100 years of changing fictional and REAL LIFE PoC into white actor roles so Hollywood could pander to you.

That is why white male tears are delicious.
For over 100 years they had Hollywood spoon feeding them all the woke shit they could eat, and they gobbled it up loving it.
No one likes being woke pandered to more than white males.
Just stick a white male as saviour, into any community they otherwise hate (PoC, Indigenous, etc) and suddenly it can be a great movie.
Just put a white actor in to play the role of real historical people who were PoC and suddenly they will watch it.
Hollywood was happy to woke pander to them to get their dollars and they were happy to take it.
And now as the face of the audience changes and a percent of the Hollywood and TV woke pandering goes to OTHERS, those same whites break down into tears because they cannot stand for all the woke pandering to not be SOLELY to them.

The picture you use in your icon is a perfect example. I personally enjoyed Joel Grey's portrayal of Chiun in "Remo Williams: the adventure begins". But the Asian community raised hell, asking that in all of Hollywood they couldn't find one Asian actor for that role. Same thing happened years earlier with the highly successful Broadway play "Miss Saigon"....actor Jonathan Pryce was replaced in a leading role as the half Asian MC of a cabaret type establishment. And let's not forget the years of the TV show "Kung Fu" ran with the late David Carradine playing Kwai Chang Caine (the concept ripped off from a premise put forth by the late Bruce Lee).
Yes, acting is portraying something that you are not. But if white actors can portray white doctors, lawyers, two fisted detectives, foreign diplomats, etc., then why can't asian actors do similar? As you so aptly alluded to, it is a bias in the system that caters to the subconscious mindset of the majority in control.
A final point: I remember reading an interview of the producers of the movie "The Blues Brothers" back in the day. They noted how hard it was to distribute their film, as some theater owners complained "too many negroes in it". Eddie Murphy and Arsenio Hall recently stated that the studio heads told them that they had to "have a white guy in the main cast" in order to sell the film "Coming to America". 'Nuff said.
