The "teachings" of the Biblical Jesus concerning the end of days. Not only did he preach he would rise from the grave, but that he would also ascend to the Heaven and one day return to judge and rule over the world. When did Jesus say his return would be? While he said no one, including himself, knew the exact time of his return, he knew it would be before the end of his generation.

Obviously, no divine final judgement and end of days has occurred. Jesus isn’t sitting on some throne somewhere on Earth ruling over the planet. His first century followers had to find a way to make sense of the predicament of having devoted their lives to a prophecy that seemed to have failed. Over the past two millenia since the prophecy was supposedly uttered by Jesus, believers have come up with a variety of explanations for why he had not come back. If can be easily seen that all the explanations are rationalizations that don’t really work when compared to the Christian scripture. Yet they persist among the faithful to this day.

Religion is offensive. The constitution makes us free from religion. But now, we are not free. Religion is in our face demanding money and tax breaks. They also want those breaks and the ability to enter political races too.
Thre is a huge church near us that blocks major roads when it lets out on Sundays. Severl police cars have to help them with traffic.

Well if we're going by the Bible or the Church Fathers, Christianity opposes free speech. However, most Western Christians today do believe in free speech. So if we're going by the modern Western Christian community, Christianity does not oppose free speech.

The constitution prohibits BIG BROTHER from making laws against religion.....not the inversion. The constitution places limits upon the Central Government as clearly stated, ".....congress shall make no law..."

The 1st amendment to the US Constitution prevents the government from making laws in respect to religions...either for or against and that includes the religion of human secularism where your ideology is attempted to be forced upon those with deep religious convictions....such as attempting to make them believe they can't pray in your sight in a public place..etc.

That is EACTLY why the 1st amendment exists. To put assholes like you in their place when you attempt to silence FREE SPEECH in the United States of America. The Constitution was drafted and ratified to limit FASCISM....not freedom.

There is the FREE EXERCISE CLAUSE.....in what world do you conclude that applies only to a private sitting? Just how is one to accomplish the fundamental reason of Christianity (spreading the word to the world if that word is limited to his/her own home? No...its the PEOPLE who have FREEDOM "OF" RELIGION.....(the free exercise clause)….and its Big Brother that has a very limited authority in relation to religion.....its called the ESTABLISHMENT CLAUSE that states very clearly with no ambiguity, "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion or PROHIBITING THE FREE EXERCISE THEREOF.

If there is a "WALL"......some private horseshit communication between Jefferson and a Baptist preacher....as the left declares. The reality of that private letter written to Jefferson by a Baptist preacher? The preacher was afraid the state where he lived would make a STATE RELIGION specific to one denomination of Christianity....Jefferson assured the preacher, It can't happen....the State is prohibited in playing favorites...there is a wall that separates the Government from religion in such matters. If there is a wall against all religious symbolism for the federal government... Just how does the Chaplin service exist in the Central Government military? How does In God We Trust...exist upon federal currency? The "wall" used as an attempt at legal precedent has no roots in our founding legal documents.

Instead of making up this bullshit about Christianity and the Constitution being incompatible. As much as they hate it, this country was founded upon Christian values, by Christians. Oh sure, there were a couple of deists, but the vast majority of the founding fathers were practicing Christians. Period end of story, full stop.
