Being told how, and what you worship, is indoctrination. They were persecuted, because because they chose their faith despite it. It doesn't matter what religion is right, and it doesn't matter if you don't like someone else's beliefs, due to naivety, or simple bigotry. The founders came here to escape all that stuff in Europe, and create a utopia for the faithful. No one was going to tell the people of this utopia, what god, or deity they bound their life with. It doesn't matter what the religion of the founders were, they made it, that no one can hinder your faith. You can't be persecuted, or hindered for your religion, and you can't persecute, and hinder with religion. There is no favoring of religion, no matter how compatible it may be.

If you can't get that, you're a brick wall.

Utter nonsense. Most of the founding fathers weren't even from England. They were descendants of the original colonists.

Don't forget, they enshrined religious freedom into the constitution.

Christianity is compatible with any free state. Christianity promotes domestic peace so that your neighbors arent killing each other and you can raise an army to fight those bad guys.

Satanism on the other hand says its okay to kill your neighbor if you hate him and if hes an animal you gotta eat him too. If you need help killing your neighbor go smuggle an illegal immigrant in to get the job done.
