I would imagine that you people out there, being the type of sad lonely individuals who like to spend their time shouting at people on the internets, would also share a passion for devouring the fresh meat that is a new political memoir. To you i say, "Rejoice, rejoice" for everyone's favourite sinister Vice President is writing a book. Huzzah!

Retiring Vice President Dick Cheney is all set to turn his hand to writing books.

Cheney, 93, has signed a deal with Mississippi-based publishing house Triple K Books, who will release the veteran politicians first memoir next year. A Triple K publishing executive, speaking on condition of strict anonymity, claimed, today, that a six figure sum had been paid to Cheney. Competition for the controversial politician's work was said to be "fierce" but it was believed that Triple K's guarantee to print the hardback copy of the tome on vellum, made from the flayed skin of Islamo-fascist terrorists and their families, clinched the deal.

According to Cheney's own website he is “currently working on compiling his collection of grievances”, stating that he has "a few scores to settle". Industry insiders say many leading bookshops are already making tentative plans to reinforce shelves and flooring to cope with the sheer weight of the expected 90 million word tirade.
