What Song Are You Listening To, Right Now?

I don't know, I've never heard his son sing. He has some big shoes to fill if the new "golden voice" can compete with Dio in the metal ranks.
There will never be music written like the music of the 70's, 80's and early/mid 90's. Very few can write ballads like the 80's bands, save Sully Erna and Godsmack of late.
I've seen some fantastic vocalists and bands throughout my life. When it comes to metal bands Dio it tops. Rob Halford is also a damn good vocalist., I saw him twice (first time I was incoherent so that may not count, second time straight as an arrow).
I think that what's been lost from that era are musicians who were actually capable of orchestrating music versus just simply writing some song and putting it to like a typical rock band format of guitar, bass, drums, keyboard, and not much else.
Today, a lot of what's out there is sampled, and the lyrics are crude enough--in terms of complexity not mentioning the content--that a 12-year-old could produce them.

The violin was used well by another of the 70's 80's bands

Another version of "Because the Night"

Or, this cover of a synth song done without the electronics.

That's talent!

This is exceptional on a good audio system. It's hard to tell that it's live and
not overdubbed in a studio. The vocals, harmonies and cello are, well listen to it...

Lewis Clark did amazing stuff with ELO.

Men are men and women are women. :dunno:
And just in case you didn't know what kickass was, this is it. :D
This is some tongue-hardening stuff no matter what! :BKick:

Yes, the musical portion is very well done, can't say the same for the vocals and lyrics. But the music is exceptional.
