Some on the right seem to want to go back to the '50's on a morality level.

Most on both sides would greatly prefer the economy & general conditions we experienced from the mid-80's to the late '90's.

Let's look at the world economically in the 1950's compared to today.

In the 1950's Japan and much of Europe were recovering and attempting to rebuild after the devastation wrought by WWII. China and India played essentially no role in world economic affairs and the U.S.S.R. was in full communist mode.

Compare that situation to what we face today globally and then please explain why our economic policies today should stay the same as they were in the '50's?

The 1950's saw a boom for the US in large part because Europe was in shambles, as was Japan.

Japan is currently imploding in trillions of dollars in debt. They are a closed society and oppose immigration and refuse to import American products. The yen is next to worthless.

Reagan never reduced the size of government, he slowed down it's growth. It was Reagan who put millions of illegal immigrants into the country.

Only a return to state sovereignty can save the country and restore it to a constitutional republic.
