What's the deal with Conservatives welching on bets?

Well, If you are going to use Dixie as a generalization of conservatives living up to their word, then I will use Alec Baldwin as the typical liberal. He too welched on his word. Bastard said he would move to Canada in 2001 if Bush won the election. Yet he is still here. That means quite obviously that liberals don't keep their word.
