When They Took Fluoride Out of the Water Like RFK Jr. Wants to Do Everywhere, People's Teeth Started Rotting Out of Their Heads

That is a HUGE increase in frequency.
I know, as I said they started looking into it a lot more seriously in the early to mid 80's ,
Like I said my son was diagnosed back when it was only 1 in every 2700 , Back then they really didn't know that much about it like they do now.

The UK has the highest rate of autism in the world and vaccines aren't mandatory there.

Vaccines offered through the national immunisation programme in the UK are not mandatory. Vaccinations are also not currently mandatory in the UK during a pandemic. The Government took steps in 2021 to make vaccination against Covid-19 a pre-requisite for working in health and social care in England, with limited exemptions. These regulations, however, are set to be revoked, subject to parliamentary approval. For further information, see section 8 of the Commons Library briefing on Coronavirus: Adult social care key issues and sources (February 2022).

And I have never thought Autism was caused by vaccines. Do you?

Are European doctors just dumb then?

Oh I don't know but I think 1 in 36 (USA)is a LOT. And I'm not great at math but I think 1 in 170 (Europe) is less than 1:36 what do you think.
That doesn't mean that autism is more prevalent in the US. It means it's more diagnosed. Just like incarcerating more Black Americans doesn't mean that Black people commit more crime.

And they have to fit the DSM5 criteria. and from when I went to collage the DSM has been changed 3 times, new info comes up all the time.
And you think European doctors are unaware DSM 5? They have their own version called ICD and it is about the same on Autism.

Two friends have children diagnosed with autism. This was back in the 2000s. They were able to get something called wraparound care for these kids. I don't think it was available in the '80s.

I hope the senate vote's no to this crackpot RFK Jr. for HHS?!!

Our next potential leader of US health policy, Robert F. Kennedy Jr, wants to ban adding fluoride to public drinking water — a practice that experts agree has remarkably elevated teeth health for millions of Americans at little cost.

In a country where many people don't have access to dental care, a widespread crackdown on this naturally occurring mineral could be a disaster. To see how, we turn to the sobering case of Juneau, a city in Alaska that voted to stop fluoridating its water in 2007, citing many of the same fears that RFK touts today.

In a 2018 study published in the journal BMC Oral Health, researchers examined the dental records of adolescents in the Alaska community who sought Medicaid dental care in the years surrounding either side of the ban.

They divided them into two treatment groups: a 2003 group, when public drinking water had optimal levels of fluoride, and a 2012 group, well after the fluoride ban.

The results were damning. On average, the 2012 group had a significantly higher number of cavity-related procedures for adolescents than the 2003 group. Similarly, the odds of someone 18 years-old or younger undergoing the same type of procedure was 25 percent higher in 2012.

Children born after the fluoride ban were the hardest hit age group, receiving not only the most tooth decay treatments, but also having the most expensive treatments on average.

Additionally on the economic side of things, the researchers found that dental care costs for adolescents soared by 73 percent as a result of the fluoride policy, even after adjusting for inflation. In sum, it seems clear cut that removing fluoride caused tooth rot to surge — and with it, medical costs.

Today, nearly three-quarters of the US population has access to fluoridated water, reducing tooth decay in children and adults by an estimated 25 percent. The US Centers for Disease Control has hailed fluoridation as one of the top ten greatest public health interventions in history.

The Studies Don’t Support the Benefits of Fluoride

The scientific and medical community has spent considerable time researching and studying fluoride. Over the years, there has been very little evidence supporting the use of fluoride. That means given the results of the research studies, there is currently not enough evidence to suggest using fluoride enhanced toothpastes and mouthwashes or undergoing fluoride treatment is beneficial.

Considering there is no conclusive evidence that suggests fluoride is beneficial, we believe it is best to not use it. Why put an unknown chemical component in your body if it provides no benefit to you?

Avoiding fluoride can be difficult. It seems to be almost everywhere from the water you drink to toothpaste and mouthwashes. There are options available to you if you are trying to avoid fluoride, such as drinking filtered or bottled water and purchasing all natural non-fluoride enhanced toothpaste, but it can be hard to avoid as it really is almost everywhere.

That is why we do not offer fluoride treatments, we use clean non-fluoride water, and all our dental treatments are fluoride-free. This eliminates the risk you may have of experiencing health problems from ingesting or being exposed to too much fluoride.

WHOOPS

Harvard Public Health

Countries that do not fluoridate their water have also seen big drops in the rate of cavities.

The Evidence

Beginning in the early 20th century, scientists linked high levels of naturally occurring fluoride in certain community water supplies to low levels of tooth decay. In 1945, Grand Rapids, Michigan, became the first community in the world to add fluoride to tap water. When subsequent studies showed a significantly lower rate of cavities in schoolchildren, water fluoridation spread to other towns and cities. U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention named community water fluoridation one of the 10 great public health achievements of the 20th century.

But many experts now question the scientific basis for the intervention. In June 2015, the Cochrane Collaboration—a global independent network of researchers and health care professionals known for rigorous scientific reviews of public health policies—published an analysis of 20 key studies on water fluoridation. They found that while water fluoridation is effective at reducing tooth decay among children, “no studies that aimed to determine the effectiveness of water fluoridation for preventing caries [cavities] in adults met the review’s inclusion criteria.” *

The Cochrane report also concluded that early scientific investigations on water fluoridation (most were conducted before 1975) were deeply flawed. “We had concerns about the methods used, or the reporting of the results, in … 97 percent of the studies,” the authors noted. One problem: The early studies didn’t take into account the subsequent widespread use of fluoride-containing toothpastes and other dental fluoride supplements, which also prevent cavities. This may explain why countries that do not fluoridate their water have also seen big drops in cavity rates (see chart).

No it wasn't.
We started our son in ARC association for Retarded children at a little over 3 years old and had him is school till he was 21.
It helped he now lives in a group home , works and is doing well.

I'm glad to hear he's able to work and live with other people. It means so much to them.
Yep he is doing well.
They had to change his job because he was making too much money. they pay them on piece work and he was really good at the job, but if he makes too much the Government steps in and takes it away from them. so before they changed his job they would have him go out and buy new TVs and things then a year later they would have a yard sale and sell them and he would go buy new ones , then I guess they got wind of what they were doing and put a stop to it.

So fluoride is good in toothpaste but bad in water?

Jesus fucking christ, the stupidity of these idiots has no limit.

Good catch. One would think that a "doctor" would think over what she's saying when posting misinformation. But then ExLax is a "doctor" like I'm Marie Antoinette. :rofl2:

MY POINT IS. They have removed it and AUTISM has continued to rise significantly. So Thimerosal isn't likely to be the problem. Andrew Wakefield the guy that first said vaccines caused Autism has been DEBUNKED. The US has over 10,000 food additives Europe has 400. Autism is 1 in 36 in the US and 1 in 170 in Europe. RFK jr wants to reduce the number of food additives in our food. That isn't such a terrible idea.

I don't suppose that it's ever occurred to you that autism isn't "rising." We have changed diagnostic criteria plus are doing earlier screening rather than waiting for children to enter school.

What? Are people too stupid to just use a toothpaste with fluoride in it?

Why do we need it in drinking water too?
It works by strengthening the enamel. When given in infancy/early childhood before permanent teeth have erupted, it makes those forming teeth's enamel harder and less susceptible to decay once they erupt. We do brush infants' and toddlers' teeth but obviously you can't brush teeth that are still forming in their gums.
