Well you see Yurt they have these things that are called investigations to determine if there is any evidence that proves such accusations. Usually they're done in very serious matters, like colluding with a foreign power to undermine an election and not if someone lied about a blow job.

Why does it matter lol?

Because the FBI does a lot more than ask questions: it's an actual investigative body. Furthermore, it's apolitical. Congress is a political body; hence, their investigations are often done to score political points with constituencies and/or pursue an agenda.

In this case, it's to impeach Trump. You don't think that's a big secret, do you?
