Who actually gets to see McCains medical records

And we have a right to discriminate against a candidate because he/she may have a predisposition to a disease ??? C'mon.

Yes, and we are talking about more than a predisposition to a disease. But yes, I do not want a comander in chief with a predisoposition to a dibalitating disease. If someone shows the early signs of alzhimers disease, I dont want him/her being president.

So You dont think it would be relevant if McCain had a dibilitating cancer 4 years ago that is currently in remission and undetectable at a physical exam, but where 73% have a re-occurance within 6 years?
Any current physical would be employed searching for that. You are being disingenuous as to meaning.

But in four years, he will have lived longer than a majority of the people who were born at his age, and then its just going to get worse and worse after that. Could he make it through a second term? I doubt it. McCain was just a shitty-ass choice for the nomination. He's ten years too late and more senile to boot.

Any medical doctor would say that a medical report of someones current medical situation is not complete without a review of there medical history.

I would not go to court with a medical expert who only examined a person without a review of the medical records. The opposing counsel would rip them to shreads on the stand.

The only medical tests that a presidential candidate should be REQUIRED to take are neuropsychological tests. I want to know that the people we choose to be president have the neurological abilities to do the job. Not IQ tests, but tests that show HOW they think and problem solve as well as their frustration levels. No one unable to complete these tests within the norms should be elected to be president. Second term Reagan probably could not have passed them.

"The norms"?

You sound incredibly Orwellian sometimes Soc.

Anyone that cannot perform the Halstead-Reitan Neuropsychological Battery should not be allowed to be president. I have not doubt that most if not everyone in here would perform within NORMAL BRAIN FUNCTIONS for their age. If you can't then you probably should not be in charge of the countries Military and Nukes.

Doctor... would you agree that medical records are an important portion of any diagnosis?

Yes.

When you examined this person and formed an opinion as to his medical condition did you review any medical reports?

No.

Would you agree that there are MANY MANY MANY diseases that are latent, and do not show ANY SIMPTIOMS at one particular time?

Yes.

Would you agree that a person could present to you in a physical exam and appear perfectly healthy... yet after a review of the records you would belive them to be deathly ill?

Yes.

So, do you agree that any opinion about a persons medical condition is incomplete without a review of there medical records.

yes.

Doctor, how sure are you of your opinion?

Again, the physical would be conducted with that knowledge, it just doesn't have to be released except to satisfy the yentas.

You are again being disingenuous as to meaning. This is the weakest argument I have seen today, and that is saying something. It's like Desh and her, "I know McCain admitted to this when he first ran but did you know he cheated on his wife?" threads are suddenly more meaningful.

Total rubbish strawman argument.

Nobody suggested the doctor has to ignore the past medical history, they have suggested that there is no necessity of publishing them for all to read except to satisfy the gossips and busybodies.

Except that they would choose the official doctor of the republican party to issue the report. Many Doctors will say ANYTHING if paid enough, I know. This is why they need to be public, so you dont have to take Dr. Joe Republican's word for it!

There is no need for you, alexxxfla, to have any knowledge of McCain's past medical history. Any more that it was necessary for us to have full access to Billary's.

You are building silly strawmen.

He has been forthright about his cancer, it was checked for. Your strawman notwithstanding.

Considering his sexual history, he might very well be trying to hide a particularly nasty case of the clap. I have a right to know.

Only if you were one of them. But then when he was playing around, you were pre-teen.

Or maybe syphilis. And syphilis can lead to severely impaired brain function.

It'd be irresponsible not to speculate.
