Who gets pardons after the Nov election ?

Abramhoff for sure and "A Player to be Named Later" for when they finally convict someone on the Plame Leak. ;)

Pappy bush pardoned those not yet endicted in the Iran Contra scandal.
That seems to be activist pardoning :)

True enough. This one ended with a *thunk* as they dropped the box off in the basement for storage... With that Powell aide owning it up it pretty much ends the search. It won't be this that tons of people get pardons for, maybe Scooter, but maybe not even him indictment is not the same thing as conviction.
 
Who gets pardons will depend on the outcome of the Nov. elections. I feel sure that if a Republican majority is held in both houses Bush will pardon Libby, but not Abromoff.

Libby was a "friend". Abramoff was never a "friend". Plus pardoning someone who already admited guilt and swore to assist prosecutors would be much more politically damaging that pardoning someone merely accused of obstruction of justice. Also pardoning Libby will prevent the necessity of having CHENEY testify under oath... a political plus to the administration.

I dont belive Delay will get pardoned untill the very end of Bush's presidency.
 
You guys are gullible if you think any justice will come to those who are powerful in our nations government.

Can you name any high government official who was punished for their crimes?
 
That depends on what you mean by punished. I belive Nixon was punished. I belive even Reagan was somewhat punished, he belived him immage was tarnished and that is a small but real punishment.
