Who here has already been vaccinated? Who is not planning on getting vaccinated?

Again. Your opinion is irrelevant. The Spanish (gasp!) Flu lasted two years without the medical advancements and the vaccines that we have now.
Look, I'm not defending them, I'm just pointing out the fact that it's not all conservatives who are refusing the vaccine. I thought you were pro-choice?

So is yours, but no matter.

As others have already stated, stupidity and ignorance includes both parties. I am indeed pro-choice and anti-mandated vaccines. That being said, I am also in favor of schools and businesses exercising their own choice and forbidding entrance to those who have no medical reason for refusing to receive a vaccine that guards against infection with a deadly pathogen.

We shall see, I think they will be given an option, get it or pack your stuff. Facts are facts, has nothing to do with my, or your, opinion. Good, but then you just had to be rude while answering a simple question. Do not worry, I won't ask you anything else, Meh

State laws vary, but I doubt most companies will just fire them. What they can certainly do is send them home without pay until 1) they are vaccinated or 2) the Health Emergency first signed by Trump passes. Some workers will be able to work from home. Obviously people menial workers can't.

Not a lawyer, but my understanding is that an employee who quits can't collect unemployment. Companies don't like firing employees because, at least in some areas, they have to pay taxes on terminated workers. There's also the legal matters of terminating employees filing lawsuits. Workers who quit rarely have any legal recourse, severance pay or unemployment benefits.

Ergo, IMO, a company is better off just sending them home without pay and waiting.

I doubt they'll get fired. Your opinion of the facts is irrelevant. And not that's it's any of your fucking business, yes and yes.

Science

A hospital is not going to retain employees who refuse medical science that threatens lives

Soon no business will accept them either

Legal liability

What makes you think it's only conservatives who are refusing the vaccine. My GF works at a hospital. A number of her liberal co-workers refused it. It isn't just conservatives. Wise the fuck up.

Oh now that's a real scientific survey. A 'number' of her liberal co-workers...

Well, my wife works at a Daycare Center, and a 'number' of her right-wing co-workers are morons.

Enter The Kraken. I rest my case.

Then don't be rude when asking a simple question. I won't worry.

What was rude? Oh wait, I said I would not ask you any other questions, so never mind.....:palm:

Agreed. The purpose of government is to protect the rights of citizens and resolve disputes between citizens. Everything you wrote complies with those goals.

RB 60 whines a lot about perceived slights. Sad.

Example:

I got my second shot yesterday, I woke up at 2AM a bit achy, arm is more tender this time. I’m a bit tired, but overall doing well. Now waiting two weeks for the immunity! Then we plan to travel to AK!

Hey, it's a free country. If radical right wingers refuse to get vaccinated, it's on them. Nobody's going to make them. If they want to drive 99 MPH all the time or eat ice cream and fried chicken all the time, it's on them. Darwinism will take care of things.

Except the 99 mph

That will send them jail

Agreed. It's like some businesses don't allow firearms on the property. Employees have a choice to leave their AR-15 at home, quit or, if they show up with it, be fired. It has nothing to do with their gun rights or the Second Amendment. It has to do with the business's responsibility to provide a safe, healthy working environment for all employees and customers.

I keep hearing the second one is worse

But not by much

Just like your experience

Glad you got it

In two weeks your good to go

Good to know

Hospitals, clinics, physicians' offices, etc. usually require those who are delivering direct patient care to be tested yearly for TB exposure, and to receive flu vaccines as well, for the protection of patients. Would YOU want the dentist or nurse hovering over your face to be a possible carrier, even if YOU have had your shot? It is a condition of employment, and if you fail to meet it, you will be excused from employment. Most states then will either completely disallow you to get UE benefits, or attach a penalty of weeks or months delay to receipt. You could try to sue for wrongful termination but good luck with that. Unless you can prove that you have a medical or religious reason for not getting vaxxed, you are SOL. If you're lucky and they consider you a great employee, you might be offered a position where you don't come in contact with the public or with patients. Otherwise, bye Felicia.
