Most Americans know that, as we age, we begin taking more medications and supplements, morning and/or at night.

The poll is anonymous and represents the average number of pills JPP members take total per day.

12 different types, about 16-18 different pills depending on how much Vit -D I take, which is more now because I believe that it helps with COVID.

I hate pills. I didn't even take the pain pills or anti-inflammatories I was prescribed when I fractured my neck in a car accident 20+ years ago.

I take plenty of meds but I quit the oodles of supplements I used to take.

3+ but not every day. 1 vitamin D, 2 cannabis gummies, and recently an occasional oxy.

I also take a similar anti-acid med: Pantoprazole

The BP pill I take is a low dose of Losartan. If I keep my weight <= 220 lbs my BP stays good. Alas I let it creep up to 235 or so at times so the doc keeps me on a low dose. He tried Lisinopril but it caused a cough and with me being a teacher and a preacher that wouldn’t work at all.

My BP is slowly creeping up. I jogged for about 40 years and it kept the pressure low but I haven't jogged in 6 years now.

For supps I take D, a multi, fish oil and CoQ10.

D because of COVID and because as a diabetic in Washington my D is often a problem

A multi because of the drinking.

Fish Oil because it cant hurt and some of the evidence looks like it helps

CoQ10 because of the problem I had when I went on a statin

In recent years I have noted increasingly yakking on the propaganda channels against fish oil, and aspirin which I also take (1), but I tend to doubt it. That we dont get advised to take D in the age of COVID is a really good sign that we are being lied to.

There has to be something in nature for arthritis but I've only been looking for a few weeks.

There are minor herbs but why the refusal to appreciate modern medicine? Sure, Big Pharma pushes all of their products but some of them are actually really needed and effective.

There are at least half a dozen posters on here who should be on lithium or other anti-psychotic drugs.

I like how the Chinese do it...."we will do both modern meds and ancient Chinese medicine". Now one can be cynical and jump to the conclusion that this is about linking back to previous Chinese Empires as they grow the next one, that this is not about what is best for the people, but I dont know that this is true.
