Who's your favorite Female senator/congresswoman?

that's because you live in the deep south.


California has two women senators, and, I'm pretty sure we have more female congressional representatives than men from our state.
 
I don't know either. I've never had any represent me. Most of the high profile ones I'm not huge fans of like Clinton, Dole, Boxer or Feinstein. The Senators from Maine seem decent but I don't know a whole lot about them. I do like their independent streak though so thats a plus.

Now if we were to include the judiciary I will say that although no longer serving Sandra Day O'Connor remains one of my favorite justices along with William Rehnquist. I'm not a huge fan of any of the others.

I also like Janice Rogers Brown who serves on the US court of appeals and was a former California Supreme Court justice.

I wasn't a huge fan of Christine Whitman but I will say that she was one of the better governors while I lived in Jersey.

I know none of this is relevant to the original question.
 
c'mon guys. It's not that hard to think of at least one you like.

The women senators, as a whole, are more impressive in many respects, than the men senators as a whole.

You can be a dumb white male, and still get elected to the senate. Look at that senile, kook from Kentucky. Bunting, I think? Or Thad Cocoran of Mississippi. That guys an idiot. James Inhofe? Please, what an embarrasment.

In contrast, you pretty much have to be an outstanding, top notch female to get elected to the Senate. You can't slide by as a medicore, somewhat stupid candidate - like a white male can. None of the female senators is down at the level with a Bunting, Cocoran, or Inhofe.
 
To be honest, I like most of the Women senators. You are correct, of all the Senators, who are dumber than a bag full of hammers, all are male. I have to agree with you, how do imbeciles like Bunting and Imhoffe keep getting elected?

Mott: when it comes to the senate, the bar is higher for women. They have to meet a higher standard, in order to even be a senator.

Do you think if doddering, old senile fools like Robert Byrd or Strom Thurmond were females, they'd get elected year after year? Or, if a woman was as stupid as Jim Bunting, she'd have a prayer at getting elected to the senate?
 
I like the spunk of Senator Landrieu... and this congresswoman from Florida...I don't know her name, she has a loud mouth, or loud voice, very New York City accent... sounding....Hmmmm, I will have to look it up, I know what she looks like so I should be able to get a name from that...somehow? :)

I think Senator Snow handles herself quite well too, and so does Collins, Feinstein, Clinton, and Kay Bailey Hutchison....imo.

I don't know about Senators and Congress people, bu i sure have growing respect for Alaska's new Republican governor. She is showing herself to be very non-partisan and all about what is best for Alaskans! Kudos to Sarah Palin!

Her position on the gas line that we have been trying to get going here in Alaska.

My won personal favorite, not pushing the bad legislation on marijuana that Murkowski was trying to push, even though time after time the Supremes have shut down anything that has come up against our Constitution on personal privacy. Alaskans are really BIG on personal privacy.

She also is trying to sell the jet Murkowski bought to travel in Alaska on.
He really angered most Alaskans by doing so. She is working hard on non-partisan energy issues in Alaska.

She chose a very diverse cabinet! Some of which had been fired from the last administration for speaking out about bad policies!

She is young and admits to being inexperienced, but she is honest and she is also a very strong Christian, but leaves it in her personal life. I truly respect her for this.
