It's subconscious consumerism; a person is more likely to associate with a product if he or she sees someone with whom they can empathize on some level using that product. I definitely agree that anyone growing up today has to deal with a lot of SJW stuff. But i do not understand the argument that a young white male in America doesn’t see other successful white males. Even if you are poor AF and live in Appalachia as long as you have a TV, internet and can read you’ll be inundated with successful white men.
