Why atheists, Satanists, heathens, etc can't be Americans or Westerners

You don't live in the United States, do you?

I do. And left wing Christians even have a significant presence in the South. They're part of what drives sanctuary policies and open immigration.

That being said, I do give them credit for supporting the Civil Rights Movement of the past. That was back when progressivism made more sense.

Okay. The South is very conservative. I frankly don't care what their religious beliefs are.

Overall, the South is more conservative than much of the rest of the country, but as it urbanizes, some Southern states have become more moderate. The urban-rural political divide is more significant in this country than the divide of the different regions of the country.

Trump is not. The members of the church he claimed membership of never saw him there ever. His cousin says he shows up when cameras do. He is the first atheist president in a long time.

He's not openly atheist, but few politicians are. Most politicians in general are probably privately atheist.

That's pretty much where the left is headed. It's beginning to look a lot like that part of 1984 where they try to control people's thoughts.

As much as the left denounces religion, they certainly have gone a long way toward building up their own version of it.

they're opposed to any smidgeon of actual goodness left in any institution.

A Muslim follower of bin Laden probably has a better chance of winning an election than an avowed atheist.

Not really. Now, 50 years from now, that might be the case.

As things currently stand, atheists have a better overall image here than Muslims. Demographically, that will likely change in a few decades though.

I've never particularly cared for Disney, but that has less to do with politics and more to do with their labor policies at places like Disney World.

read about disappearances of vacationers from "its a small world" and "pirates of the caribbean".

not to mention the grooming of sra child star mamchurians.

So yes, I'd argue based on these facts, state and federal can and should, indeed favor Christianity (and monotheistic, world religion with compatible values) both in public and private over inferior and socially unacceptable trash such as atheism, Satanism and so forth, rather than pretending that such filth and worthlessness is in anyway "equal" to them, when it is decidedly inferior, and has no right to exist it all.

The Constitution prohibits favoring any religion or laws which do not have a secular purpose.

Sure, but that concept went by different names back then, and it had different connotations. Much of what defines Deism is specifically European Renaissance/Enlightenment in nature. The Ancient Greeks had a very different way of looking at things, even if they inspired much of the Enlightenment.

It was essentially the same concept, though. A Prime Mover that created the universe but now plays no role in it. As far as I know, Anaxagoras never used a word to name his religious view. But he believed in a god that was totally unconcerned with human lives, which is basically Deism.

No. The Prime Mover did not create the universe.

No worse than the ever-changing principles of progressivism.

As much as religion changes, it isn't nearly as opportunistic as progressivism.

Any philosophy can be used for propaganda. But because Progressivism is based on logical principles, it's less malleable than religion. You could use Progressivism to promote laissez-faire Capitalism, but it would be a lot more difficult.

Got it, thanks. I am just saying that the Prime Mover was an idea from Aristotle and was not a creator. Later Christianity turned Aristotle's concept of God into a Creator.

There were different concepts of the Prime Mover in Ancient Greece. The idea that it was a creator god was just one of them.
