Farming might be capitalism, or it might be communism. It depends on who owns the land and equipment and who gets to make the decisions.

Government run farms are usually terrible. They don't know the market, they have no profit motive, and they don't know what they are doing.

Capitalism is not necessarily industrialization, or even heavy industry at all.
If you own a hot dog stand and sell hot dogs, that's capitalism.
If you own a bakery and you make cakes for sale, that's capitalism.

If government owns the hot dog stand or the bakery the people there are merely government employees, that's communism.
If YOU own the bakery or hot dog stand and the government tells you how to run it, that's fascism.

Similarly, if you own the farm and you run it, that's capitalism.
If you own the farm, and the government tells you how to run it, that's fascism.
If the government owns the farm, and you are merely a government employee on it, that's communism.
