It's pretty simple, actually. They will support anything and everything that opposes Trump. By the same token, they will demonize anything and everything that has some connection to him (like Russia).

It is pretty funny to witness this, however. The fact that they can side with Iran (an ally of Russia) while demonizing Russia reveals the level of cognitive dissonance that this mindset requires.
