Trump's ego is so weak that he still hurts from losing the popular vote. And Trump's tariffs threaten both farmers and manufacturing jobs. Bullying is not good trade policy, but it's all Trump knows.

That had little to do with trade policy and a lot to do with the failure of big corporations to update factories. The middle class was built by unions, which both Trump and the right hate.
