It's not working, it's doing what it always does, lowering social trust. It's also causing politics to become more divided, since white people are now looking for socially accepted tribalism as a substitute. And no matter what your politics are, that's a bad thing.

Liberals are using race to further politically divide this country. Their unfounded accusations of racism of the president and Republican party are making things much worse than they are.

The same can be said about any religion. And by the way, notice how Europeans weren't panicking over Muslims when it was white Albanian Muslims immigrating to the other European countries. The same way "illegal immigrants" is used as code for Mestizos, words like "Muslims" and "Islamists" are used as code for Arabs, Turks, Iranians, and so on.

If that's the case, then it's still not about the religion itself, rather it's about the culture interpreting the religion.

But no, most of the Muslim immigrants aren't coming from countries with radicalized Islam. Some are, but most are coming from places like Turkey that are more secular.
