That makes ZERO sense. The .45 ACP is a handgun round with low muzzle velocity and meant for short range in close combat. Putting a round like that in a rifle is almost as dumb as getting you another beer.

That is the grip on reality that gun lovers have. It would be interesting to find the real psychological reason people want guns. But the reasons they give are usually BS. Nobody NEEDS a AR. They lived their whole lives without one.

great, now you default to the statist argument. the idea of freedom is to keep government OUT of our lives, not let them in because we have nothing to hide.
Fact is the government protects your rights from the powerful and corporations. Your vitriol is aimed the wrong direction. The government agencies protect you from the pollution and theft the wealthy will commit. Get rid of the government and you do not have more power and freedom. The wealthy and corporations do. The NRA is a lobbyist organization for gun manufacturers. They could care less about the 2nd., It is just a tool for defending profits.
