Why does Canada put up with the truckers?

Double parked on the street overnight certainly violates some municipal traffic laws, and it is not a naive thought, can be done quietly, legally, avoiding confrontation, as I said, when the fines pile up they quickly lost their desire
And I don’t recall many instances where anybody anywhere blockaded traffic demanding more Covid rules, so your comparison isn’t applicable
They'll just take the tickets. Are you going to arrest all the truckers in Canada for multiple traffic citations? Take away their licenses?
While I support the unalienable right to protest, the fact they are blocking traffic, free passage being another unalienable right, means they are outlaws.

Sure they will, for now, but when the fines build, they’ll have second thoughts, and no one has to be arrested, just when they go to renew their driver license they will have to pay the fines, the license is necessary for their living

You are assuming that the local police are not already fining the truckers as much as they legally can.
That is rather naive..I think the cops know how to do their jobs.

In for a penny, in for a pound. If they bail now, they are each saddled with the fines. If they stick together, they can negotiate to go home with the fines removed. Solidarity works here but it takes teamwork, not thousands of individuals negotiating their own deals like the Insurrectionists.
Let's not forget that Canada and the US need the truckers.

This is not a protest- IT IS A BLOCKADE! You are never allowed to block a city street with a vehicle!
Fine them for any and all parking violations. They are all currently parked illegally and blocking traffic.
Tow their trucks out of harms way to the pound @ $1,000 a pop- and inspect them for DOT violations, and charge them $1,000 a day until they pass DOT inspections, and all of their fines must be paid in full before they can retrieve their Trucks from the pound.
This is how the DOT will deal with any kind of Shenanigans like this in the USA.
I dare them to try something illegal and foolish like this here in America.

Truckers are better compensated in Canada, due to universal healthcare. Canada does have a truckers shortage, but not as bad as the USA's trucker shortage. Canadians are often shocked when they find out how much worse things are for truckers on this side of the border.
Canadians cannot move to the USA and just get a job. They are foreigners. To even get into the USA, they would have to be vaccinated. Kind of defeating the whole point in fleeing being vaccinated.
If we are looking for truckers willing to live on less than Americans, Mexico would be the obvious answer. Not sure that is what we are looking for.
Doubtful, with all right wing protests, no one reacts fearful of the right wing media portraying any measure as fascism and dictatorial, in addition, the protesters would have made a spectacle of it, ripping up and burning tickets

Why would the city negotiate, they stand to enrich their coffers, and the truckers will leave on their own eventually, have to make a living
