I got roped into fb about 10 years ago while in a relationship of sorts.... Didn't use it much till one of my daughters & grandkids were living in Japan then it was great, especially messaging & face time........

Perhaps but I also get to avoid the photos of mistreated animals posted by the animal rights nutzo friends of mine as well, so it is a wash. Really it was I was so sick of the politics that I had to quit before I literally started posting shit about people's pasts that are best left in the past in response to their newfound high and mighty holier-than-thou-ness.

It started off to be used like that I think. That made sense. Then like most things it went into a totally different direction.

Good idea. I had to open a FB account because our neighborhood was trying to coordinate something. I received a shitload of 'notifications' for banal BS from various idiots.
I've since closed the account.

That is pretty much all I use it for.. I have/share picts of hiking etc but you can easily stop the other stuff.......

Some of my "friends" post lots of shit & I simply have it blocked...... I do absolutely no politics, social issues etc on fb.... No chain messages etc....
