Because McCain is a smart polititian. He knows, like John Kerry did not know, that bringing an issue into a campaign makes the downside to that issue fair game. If McCain braged about his kid in Iraq, he would be open to questions about why he did not discuss his other kids. He would also be open to more questions about his support of a failed miserable mistake of a war in Iraq.

It is great political cover for the nieve to belive that he "let his children decide". We ALL know that kids are easily manipulated by parents. His kids may really belive they decided.

Actually she is not making that one up. It was 1998, so a bit more than a couple of years ago.... but he did make a joke....

This is not exact, but close "why does Chelsea Clinton look like that? Because Janet Reno is her father"

McCain told this joke at some Rep event. I think it was around the time Chelsea had the extremely frizzy hair and people like Rush were tossing out the poodle comments.

I didn’t know McCain engaged in that. I only remembered Rush Limbaugh. I guess it was more widespread than I knew.

So you are calling his kids stupid? His kids aren't young. Hell his oldest kid is around 45. The only one under 18 is Bridget.

Why is McCain always with some of his kids, but Ive never seen him photographed with his daughter Bridget?

I bet once the nomination is secured with the Republicans he will unveil her.
