Oh yeah, because you were just wondering if he would "show" that he had a daughter with different skin color.

The song John was having fun with...'Bomb-Bomb bomb Iran'was a spoof on the Beach Boys song Barbara Ann...rewrote by non other than 'Rusty Humphries' a syndicated Radio talk show host out of Seattle...formerly from Reno,Nevada!


Rusty started the spoof songs with ...'Osama' during the Gulf War II....has many spoof songs on his CD collection!

None of them are "kids", nor do I think that all of them were "manipulated" or "just thought" they were making a choice.

I think all of that is your attempt to make it okay to pretend that their absense is only because of your perceived stereotype of republicans.

They were and still are John McCain's kids. I could have worded that better but I still stand by it.

Listen I am sure his avoidance of having his kids involved is for several reasons... but I belive at least part of it is the fact that amung some republicans, especally in the south, photos of his daughter, who is not white, would have cost him votes.

Please note, I did not say "Should cost him votes" (that wouls be racist) I said (would have cost him votes).

You are entitled to that opinion. Please see my other post, I dont belive it is the only reason, I DO belive it is at least part of the reason.

accept you were not talking about racism. You targeted his one child that was not white and asked why the "non-white" child was not present. You didn't wonder where the other white children were. You targeted Bridget.... based on her race.

I did not target anyone. I pointed out that his daughter (the non-white one) was not involved in teh campaign and comensed to discuss if that was for a racist reason...

That is not racism, and if you truely belive it is, you are not very smart.

Yes, you targeted his non-white child. You pretend not to notice that 6 of his 7 children are not campaigning. You ignore the fact that Desh posted an article that interviewed Bridget and that she gave the reasons for not campaigning. You ingore the fact that McCain and his kids have stated that he leaves it up to them. You simply go on pretending that it is because of her race and that people in the south are too ignorant to recall that he has a child that is not white. You continue to refer to Bridget as his "non-white" daughter.

1) I dont feel smitten, in fact more came to my side than were opposed I believe.

2) Playing the "race card" is not always the same as being racist.

3) I was discussing what I belive to be a point that illistrates some racism, if that is playing the "race card", fine, I dont have a problem with that.

4) I was called a racist, which in my opinion I an no more a racist that the average person.

Not in my opinion, and I dont think in the opinion of most people. I think you are stretching teh term for the sake of false outrage and name calling. I think that is clear to anyone not filled with hate.

Oh without question I am exaggerating when I call you a racist. I thought that was the point of your thread. To toss around false outrage and label people racists based on a whim. Kind of along the lines of your acting as though McCain was "hiding" his child so that he could "unveil" her to all the racist Reps after they nominated him... in a "gotcha" kind of moment. That is what you were implying right? That she was being hidden while it would "hurt" him and then she would be "unveiled" in the general matchup where it may "help" him with the open-minded Dems who would find it so beautiful that an evil racist Rep could adopt a child with different pigmentation.

That IS where you were going with this ..... right???

Side note.... no, I am not filled with hate (except for those that call our soldiers murderers just because they are pilots who have dropped bombs in Iraq).... though I really really don't like the Clowntoons.

That is what I belive except I am not saying McCain is a racist, I am merely pointing out that he knows first hand that a signifigant portion of Republican Primary voters in South Carolina are...!
