Non-profits do not have to pay taxes, so for profit universities pay taxes. As for trump saying he wants to ignore the law that non-profits pay no taxes, because universities teach things he disagrees with... That is a violation of multiple parts of the Constitution.

trump is president, so does not get to write tax law, that would be Congress. Tax law is not allowed to be written to punish people for free speech.
