Why Romney WILL repeal Obamacare!

Hey, look! Yurt is debating to the best of his abilities again.

Hey, Yurtsie - couldn't help noticing that you ran like a scared girl from the 2 lies I nailed you on yesterday...

It's actually the opposite, WHY? Because you are such a brain when it comes to political analysis? Because Liberals collective HOPE trumps majorities in both houses and the presidency? Because we live in some fucked-in-the-head bizarro world, where everything is opposite as it appears?

Look, I can certainly understand Liberals believing Romney will do the exact polar opposite of everything he is campaigning on and promising... after all, that's what we got with Obama! But aside from Obama, I can't think of an example in political history, where a national political figure has gone out there and promised us specifically what he was going to do, and then did the opposite of that when elected. Even as terrible as Obama has been, (and a great example of your theory...) he still followed through with his promises on his centerpiece issue, he gave us Obamacare!

You've got nothing. The polls are not in your favor. It looks like, your party might be in for a bruising come November, and this is sheer desperation time. It's making you people act like the jackass who adorns your logo. The power of subliminal suggestion isn't going to work here. Refuting what I have said, takes more than just popping in to interject the opposite of what I said and proclaim yourself correct. But I understand, your particular mental capacity doesn't enable you to do much else.

Hey, I said conservatives win either way. We agree.

Conservatives always win. They win if Obama wins, they win if he doesn't. They win if we have universal healthcare, or if we don't.

Granted, I might need you to explain to me how they won when it appears they didn't; but I feel assured by you that they always win.

I've never claimed conservatives "won" anything. That is YOUR interpretation based on me saying the Liberals suffered a defeat. Just because Liberals suffer a defeat, doesn't mean the conservatives won. It's that way in your simple-minded liberal brain, but nowhere else in logic or reality.

The SCOTUS ruled the Feds can do Obamacare... hardly a conservative victory! But the caveat, that it MUST be done as a TAX... that is a huge defeat for Liberalism and a huge victory for constitutional conservatives, who have rejected the Liberal understanding of Federal powers under the commerce clause. ALSO... the court ruled that you couldn't mandate states to use their Medicare funding for this... another huge blow to Liberalism and the idea they could. This is a 'victory' for those who advocate state's rights... last I checked, that included a LOT of constitutional conservatives.

Now, all of this CHANGE hasn't really hit you yet, because it hasn't had time to effect Congress. In January, when the new Congress is seated, you will begin to see the ramifications, which will almost certainly include a repeal of Obamacare and/or reconsideration over the TAX which will have to fund it now, according to SCOTUS. You might WISH this issue was over, you may HOPE AND PRAY that Obama gets re-elected and you can hang on to this idiocy long enough for it to stick... but the polls seem to indicate that isn't what is going to happen, and the SCOTUS ruling makes it relatively easier for Congress to repeal ACT in January.

They believe they win no matter what!!! It's the huge ego that doesent allow them to lose, no matter how badly they lost!

Let's be clear, this ruling wasn't about something the conservatives expected to win. It was about defeating a liberal idea. The LIBERALS stood to lose something, the conservatives didn't have anything to lose. Because Liberals avoided the axe on their health care plan here, doesn't mean conservatives lost the war against it, the war rages on. This was just the first of MANY challenges you face, the NEXT one will be how to fund this monstrosity.

It's kind of like being in a boxing match, and your opponent just failed to land a knockout blow... and you seem to think that means you WON the bout! You are going to get your clocked clean like that every time. Conservatives failed to deliver the knockout blow, but we're still in the fight, the bell has not yet rung. Instead of doing a little victory dance around the ring, you better keep your gloves on.

Apparently the Slapout, Alabama School of Internet Debate teaches that capitalization and exclamation points are unassailable arguments.

Why Repealing Obamacare is a Fantasy

Mitt Romney promised today he would "replace" Obamacare on his first day as president, but it's obviously much harder than that.

David Frum: "Even if Republicans do win the White House and Senate in 2012, how much appetite will they then have for that 1-page repeal bill? Suddenly it will be their town halls filled with outraged senior citizens whose benefits are threatened; their incumbencies that will be threatened. Already we are hearing that some Republicans wish to retain the more popular elements of the Affordable Care Act (ACA). Which means the proposed 1-page bill will begin to grow."

Ryan Lizza: "Far-sighted conservatives always thought that their great hope for toppling Obama's most important legislative achievement was through the courts. They were correct."
